Beef and Broccoli

Serves 4 People

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Sirloin steak, sliced

  • 12 oz broccoli- stems and florets, cut into segments

  • Vegetable Oil

  • Garlic, minced

  • Ginger, minced

  • Rice

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 1 tablespoon water


Recipe Instructions

  1. Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl until combined and sugar is dissolved.

  2. Rub a thin film of oil in the wok, heat on high until smoking, add 1 tablespoon oil and stir fry broccoli until tender but crisp, remove from wok and set aside.

  3. Add another 1 tablespoon oil and add in beef while constantly stirring

  4. Once beef is browned, add broccoli and sauce and stir. Pour the sauce on the sides of the wok in a circular motion.

  5. Combine cornstarch and water then pour into wok.

  6. Stir to combine sauce with beef and broccoli until thickened and glossy.

  7. Serve over hot rice and enjoy! Don't forget to leave a rating below!
